Talk about beautiful young love, these two have it and it was so refreshing to be around!! Before we even started the session I knew it was just going to be great, I had emailed Opal to narrow down where in Shelter Cove we wanted to shoot and she happened to be getting ready across the street from the location I suggested! I had a few ideas that I was looking forward to with them, especially one after sunset using an off camera flash and dramatic lighting. Unfortunately, about 1/3 of the way through the shoot my flash fell off of the tripod it was on and right into a puddle. I made a few phone calls to fellow photographers that I know shoot with the same type of camera as I do, but no luck. I couldn't find a replacement flash. Luckily I am a creative person, I was able to keep my cool and come up with a solution that was very out of the box. I set up my truck so that the lights were shining slightly towards where I wanted to shoot and then used a reflector to bounce the light back on to my couple. It was a little different than I was planning but I think they turned out pretty spectacular.
I can't forget to mention how excited I was to learn that the groom to be's parents are none other than the owners of Tranquility Lane Flowers and Garden and when Opal showed me the flowers they had brought for the session I was floored. The flowers were beautiful and happened to match everything perfectly!! Congrats and so excited for the two of you and your upcoming nuptials!!
